OTTO - Elizabeth “Lib” Lauffer, 87, passed away at her residence on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022.

Elizabeth was born in Freeport, Pennsylvania, to the late Bruce and Pearl Josephine Reed Overholt. She moved from Lost Creek, Kentucky, 22 years ago to call North Carolina her home.

While living in Lost Creek, Mr. & Mrs. Lauffer served as missionaries at Riverside Christian School. Elizabeth loved music, sung with the Carolines, The Primetime Singers, and her church choir. “Lib” enjoyed sewing and cooking. She attended First Baptist Church of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Edward Overholt and James Overholt.

She is survived by her husband, Deane Lauffer; and children, Deane Edward Lauffer (Teresa) of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Michael Lauffer (Peyton) of Felton, Pennsylvania, David Lauffer (Sharon) of Otto, Daniel Lauffer (Donna) of Turnerville, Georgia, and Lisa Elliott of Hebron, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
