BRYSON CITY – Annie Mae King Cooper, 78, of the Brush Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday July 20, 2021. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Earl Hill and Vesta Parton King. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Doyle P. Cooper; sister, Thelma DeHart, and brothers, Eugene, Johnny, Henry, and Charles King.

She is survived by one son, Mitchell R. Cooper; grandchildren, Chris Cooper, Kristy Cooper, and Jennifer Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Kazandra Cooper, and Jace Cooper; one sister Rachael Griggs and husband Roy, all of Bryson City; and one sister-in-law, Sue Deatz of Sylva, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 26 at Sawmill Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Revs. Earl King and Travis Watkins officiated with burial at Sawmill Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 25 at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
