TIMBERLAKE—Angela Michele “Mickie” Turner, 45, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Duke Regional Hospital. Born in Durham County, Ms. Turner was the daughter of Carol Lee Turner and the late Claude Ervin Turner. Ms. Turner was employed for the past 15 years as a rescuer and caretaker of animals at Appalachian Animal Rescue.

Ms. Turner is survived by sisters, Connie Reaves and husband Harrell, and Linda Hunt; brothers, William Hunt and wife Michelle, and Michael Turner and wife Cherie; aunts, Elaine George and husband Harold, and Billie Stallings and husband Doug; nieces, Heather Pendergrass and Tara McDonald and husband Peter, and Hannah Turner and Miracle Peacock; and nephews, Bobby Pendergrass, Will Hunt, Cameron Turner, and Nolan Peacock.

We would like to give a special mention to Mark and Melanie Pazol who meant so much to Mickie. Thank you for all your love and kindness.

Mickie was a kindhearted and gentle soul that lived her entire life loving and giving to animals. She was quirky and funny, and the biggest (and loudest) Tarheel Fan around. Mickie will forever be loved and cherished by her family and friends.
